Mad Uncle Harry
Date: Fri 19-03
Time: 21.30
Adm: FREE

The band includes vocals by Noriana Kennedy (banjo uke player and singer with folk group Nábac) and the talented singer songwriter Christof Van Der Ven (guitar) accompanied by Paul O'Driscoll on double bass (well known for his work with Sharon Shannon and Deiseal), 'take it or leave it' Liz Coleman on fiddle (Spinning Jennies and Nábac) and tasty beats from Paddy Kennedy on percussion and snare.

With a finely selected mix of moody ballads to high energy foot stomping tunes, their performances incite an audience to lose themselves.

Mad Uncle Harry, just newly formed last year, performed as part of the Galway Ocean Volvo Festival, Galway Culture Night 2009 and the Dunmore East Bluegrass Festival and just recently, the Sixmilebridge Winter Music Festival. Having just recorded their ‘Kinvara E.P' they are set for a busy Summer gathering the favour of everyone who comes to see them!

Quote from Bluegrass Ireland Blog- Uri Kohen.
'The Galway band held the crowd in the palms of their hands as they performed their unique style of bluegrass and old-time music. It was a superb gig and I will recommend all bluegrass lovers to check them out'
